Intern Strength & Conditioning Coach


London Scottish is a championship club looking for passionate part-time interns within their Strength & Conditioning department for the 2021-22 season.

The intern is unpaid but rewarded with challenges and growth to gain valuable experience to develop and lead parts of the program, a development plan will be put in place.


The successful applicant will assist within an experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide the London Scottish Strength & Conditioning Programme to the playing squad whilst being submersed in a stimulating and supportive learning environment. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have access to the following throughout their intern with London Scottish.



  • Ongoing S&C mentoring and challenges to grow as a coach.

  • Internal & External CPD events, opportunities, and courses.

  • Networking opportunities

  • London Scottish kit provision.


Essential Criteria:

  • Currently study within a relevant subject within Sports Science/Strength & Conditioning/Coaching area

  • Have some experience providing strength & conditioning services to general population and or athletes within team sports.

  • Possess strong aspirations to pursue a career in strength & conditioning.

  • Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of strength & conditioning theory and its practical application within team sport.

  • Good organizational, communication skills and problem solving.



Desirable Criteria:

  • Strength & Conditioning qualification Level 4, ongoing CSCS or UKSCA Foundation courses

  • Competent & confident in the use of Microsoft Excel and Computer skills with Apps

  • Qualified first aider
